THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The hit indie song in Tamil ‘Enjoy Enjaami’ has been making huge waves on social media. Soon, influencers and music lovers started coming up with their own renditions of the viral song. Latest in the list is a video of Kerala Police personnel grooving to a parody of the song.
The video, which speaks about social distancing and measure to take during the second wave, has been garnering the attention of many on social media. The video was recently released on the official handle of Kerala Police. V P Pramod Kumar, deputy director and public relations officer at the State Police Media Center is the director of the hit video.
Two people have been arrested following an assault at a property in Glen Street, Timaru last night.
Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested says Police were called to the address about 7.30pm and found a man with injuries to his hand, believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon.
Police have not yet found the weapon and ask anyone in the Glen Street, Ayr Street, Tweedie Park, Essex Street and Selwyn Street area to please check their property.
“We are also interested in sightings of a quad bike being ridden in the area at that time last night,” Senior Sergeant Quested says.

A joint Police and Customs operation has led to the arrest of three people for importing methamphetamine.
Operation Torpedo began after Customs officers intercepted a package containing two kilograms of liquid methamphetamine sent in a courier parcel from Thailand to an address in Wellington in March.
A further package containing a kilogram of methamphetamine was intercepted in late April.
In total, three kilograms of methamphetamine, amounting to over 60,000 doses, were intercepted.
“The joint operation has directly prevented this drug from getting on to Wellington streets and causing irreparable harm to our communities.

More than a year after receiving adulation for its viral video that came to be known as hand-wash dance that generated awareness about keeping the virus at bay, the State police have now come up with yet another dance video.
A team of nine cops at the State Police Media Centre (SPMC) who were behind the hand-wash dance is the brains this time as well. If the first video was in tune with the State government’s campaign Break the Chain, the latest one is in line with the Crush the Wave campaign launched as the second wave of the pandemic rages on.
