Wait your turn : Darlington residents told to be patient amid vaccine rollout DARLINGTON residents have been told to be patient when waiting for a Covid vaccine.  Council chiefs have urged people to be patient as the phased roll-out of Covid-19 vaccinations gets underway in Darlington as it is being managed by the NHS, not the council. Jabs have already been given to a number of care home residents in Darlington. Darlington Primary Care Network (PCN) is working on delivering Covid-19 vaccinations to patients in the top two priority groups, as set out in the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation guidance.

Coronavirus: Dorset sites taking part in vaccination programme

People aged 80 and over as well as care home workers will be amongst the first to receive the vaccine. Vaccinations are being delivered according to priority groups identified nationally by the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). Dr Karen Kirkham, GP, Clinical lead for the Dorset Covid-19 vaccination programme, and Assistant Clinical Director of NHS Dorset CCG, said: “We understand that there is a lot of interest in the Covid-19 vaccination programme and would like to reassure everyone that we are working extremely hard to deliver vaccines in line with the national guidance, so those people who are most at risk get theirs first.
