15:04 | Lima, Feb. 17. A total of 124 patients will be treated with medical oxygen 24 hours a day thanks to the putting into operation of two oxygen-producing plants granted to the Lima-based Arzobispo Loayza Hospital by the solidarity initiative known as Respira Peru (Breathe, Peru Program).
During a ceremony, Health Minister Oscar Ugarte expressed the satisfaction of President Francisco Sagasti and Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez for the donation which exemplifies the participation of the institutions that make up Respira Peru and constitutes a fundamental support for the Loayza Hospital in times of COVID-19.
Hospital Director Juan Carlos Velasco Guerrero explained that each plant can produce 20 m3 of medical oxygen (93% purity per hour).
