Steven J. Jackson, 44, listed as homeless out of Alton, was charged March 1 with criminal damage to state supported property over $10,000, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on Feb. 23 Jackson did more than $10,000 damage to the electrical breaker boxes at the Liberty Bank Amphitheater. Andrew L. Mitchell Sr., 55, was charged March 2 with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, both Class 4 felonies; and unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. According to court documents, on March 1 Mitchell was found to be in possession of less than 15 grams each of cocaine and Hydrocodone; and also had a loaded 9 mm handgun magazine and several loose rounds of 9 mm ammunition. It was noted that Mitchell has a 2013 felony conviction possession of a controlled substance out of Madison County, making it illegal for him to own firearms or ammunition.

Vernon man faces multiple charges for home invasion in Alton in separate locations on two dates last year, according to charges that were unsealed Monday. Ronnie D. Jackson, 25, of Mt. Vernon, was charged Jan. 27 with three counts of home invasion, all Class X felonies. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on Oct. 1 Jackson entered a home in the 2700 block of Powhatton Street and struck a woman in the head with a firearm. On Nov. 3, court documents show Jackson entered a home in the 3200 block of Oakwood and threatened two residents with a firearm. He allegedly also entered a home in the 900 block of Tremont Street and struck a resident in the head with a firearm.

Angel M. Mileur, 47, of Vandalia, was charged Feb. 26 with methamphetamine trafficking, an enhanced Class X felony, and unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony. The case was presented by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. According to court documents, on Feb. 25 Mileur allegedly was found to be in possession of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine, that she had brought into the state with the intent to deliver. Bail was set at $200,000.
