Garrett D. Jones, 26, listed as homeless out of Granite City, was charged Feb. 26 with unlawful possession of weapons by a felon, a Class 3 felony. The case was presented by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. According to court documents, on Feb. 21 Jones, who has a 2016 conviction for residential burglary out of Madison County, was found to be in possession of a silver revolver. Bail was set at $20,000. Russell C. Mongiovi, 62, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence, a Class 2 felony, and aggravated driving under the influence while license revoked/suspended, a Class 4 felony. The case was presented by the Troy Police Department. According to court documents, on Dec. 26 Mongiovi was found to be driving a 2004 Honda Odyssey while under the influence of alcohol at the time his license had been revoked. It was noted he had previous related convictions in 1990 and 2012. Bail was set at $60,000.

Stiff, 31, was charged Feb. 25 with two counts of aggravated battery in separate incidents. Both charges are Class 3 felonies. The cases were presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on Feb. 19 Stiff “kicked and punched” a woman in the 700 block of Oakwood. In a second, unrelated charge, Stiff repeatedly hit a 13-year-old girl with a computer cord, causing “permanent disfigurement.” Bail was set at $15,000 for the first charge, $25,000 for the second.

Darel L. Casillas Jr., 51, was charged Feb. 23 with aggravated driving under the influence, a Class 2 felony. The case was presented by the Collinsville Police Department. According to court documents, on Sept. 20 Casillas was found to be driving a vehicle while under the influence. It was noted that previous convictions for DUI in 1986, 1993 and 1996 in Madison and Calhoun counties. Bail was set at $60,000.
