JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) reported 205 new COVID-19 cases and 4 new deaths Wednesday, May 12.
New COVID-19 related deaths reported to MSDH as of 3 p.m. Tuesday. Three deaths occurred between May 6 and May 11 in the counties below:

Panola 1
As of Wednesday, May 12, there have been 314,147 total cases of the virus since mid-March, which is when the state reported its first case. There have been 7,244 total deaths.

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 267 new cases of COVID-19 and six coronavirus-related deaths Tuesday.
Since the virus hit the state in March 2020, a total of 313,942 cases and 72,40 coronavirus-related deaths have been reported.
According to a New York Times database Tuesday, at least 367 new coronavirus deaths and 36,451 new cases were reported in the U.S. Monday. Over the past week, there has been an average of 39,124 cases per day, a decrease of 29% from the average two weeks earlier.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - COVID-19 vaccination data from Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows Mississippi is lagging behind all other states in the country.
CDC data shows over 150 million Americans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, which makes up 46 percent of the population and over 58 percent of the population over 18 years old.
Just 41.5 percent of Mississippians 18 and older have received at least one dose of the vaccine lowest in the nation.

JACKSON, Miss. (WDAM) - The Mississippi State Department of Health reported less than 267 new daily COVID-19 cases across the state.
MSDH reported 267 additional cases and six new deaths Tuesday statewide.
Two deaths were reported between May 7-May 8, while another four deaths were discovered during a review of death certificates between Jan. 24-April 30.
The latest figures brought the state’s total cases and deaths since February 2020 to 313,942 and 7,240, respectively.
