THERE have been no recorded coronavirus-related deaths across Worcestershire s hospitals for a fifth day in a row. The latest figures, announced by the NHS today (May 10), show no Covid-related deaths in the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, and its total remains at 806. And there are no newly recorded deaths at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, with its total remaining at 63. The total number of coronavirus related deaths in Worcestershire hospitals therefore remains at 869. And in all settings, which includes care homes and hospices, the total stays at 1,354. Nationally, there were three deaths reported in the period covering from 4pm on April 8 to 4pm on April 9.

A man jailed for his part in a brutal murder has died in a Worcestershire prison after taking a synthetic cannabis-like drug.
Richard James Ormond was 35 when he was jailed for life â along with his then partner, 47-year-old Samantha Faulder â following the murder of Richard Emery in Bournemouth in 2008.
