NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - WVUE-TV FOX 8 is proud to announce the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) has selected FOX 8 as the winner of 9 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards including the prestigious Overall Excellence award for the 8th time in the last 11 years.
The RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast and digital journalism since 1971. Murrow Awards are given to organizations and individuals who demonstrate and embody the standards Edward R. Murrow set for broadcast journalism.

BILLINGS - After 27 years as News Director of KTVQ (Q2) in Billings, MT, Jon Stepanek will leave the station in June.
Prior to coming to Billings in 1993 Stepanek held various roles in news and sports in Montana, California, and North Dakota.
âI feel so fortunate to have had a long career at one TV station. I am one of the few News Directors who have been lucky to find a station and community they love,â Stepanek said. This moment gives me a chance to reminisce about the many talented journalists who have worked at Q2 through my time. News, weather, and sports reporters and anchors, technical and production staff have flourished in our station and in some cases moved on to roles in larger markets. I also thank the many department managers and staff who help make Q2 a great TV station. â
Edward R. Murrow Awards in the Large Market Radio category. The station won awards in the Breaking News, Feature Reporting, Investigative Reporting, and News Series categories. The Murrow Awards are presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) to honor outstanding achievements in electronic journalism. Stateside team covered the flood that caused huge amounts of damage, feared dioxin contamination, and debates over how the dams could have been kept in such ill repair.

BOISE, Idaho KTVB.COM has earned a regional 2021 Edward R. Murrow Award for best website.
The announcement was made Thursday by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
RTDNA expanded the category this year from focusing on the website to allowing stations to showcase the local approach to engaging multimedia coverage. This honor is more than just a win for our incredible digital team. It’s a nod to KTVB s comprehensive content strategy which includes leveraging innovative digitals tools such as Near Me in the KTVB app, the texting technology the team integrates into broadcast, as well as KTVB.COM and the social media platforms including playlists and full shows on YouTube, said Lisa Chavez, Director of Content.
