Cabinet approves proposed national budget for FY 2021-22

The Cabinet at a special meeting today approved the proposed national budget for the fiscal year 2021-22.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting held at the cabinet room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, sources at the parliament secretariat, said.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Law Minister Anisul Haq, Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, among other cabinet ministers and state ministers concerned, attended the meeting, sources at the Parliament Secretariat said.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today said that no Hefajat-e-Islam leaders or supporters will be arrested in the future without any specific allegations against them. He was addressing reporters at the secretariat after the end of a cabinet committee law and order meeting today. The minister is the chairman of the committee.
