The average Wednesday was 1,956.
The state reported 2,755 new cases of the virus Wednesday and 35 deaths. A total of 477,292 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Wisconsin and 4,818 of those Wisconsinites have died.
DHS reported that another La Crosse County resident has died of COVID-19. No information was available on the case; however, it marks the 57th resident to die of the virus since March.
In La Crosse County, there were 85 test-confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases since March to 9,994. There were 212 negative tests reported.
