The suspicious death of a local photographer in Jersey City has been ruled a homicide, and police are searching for the suspect they believe beat them man to death.
Benjamin Stone was a well-known commercial photographer who had just moved to the city, and the 40-year-old had a close-knit group of friends. Over a week ago, one of those friends said he stopped answering texts and phone calls, leading them to call the police to do a wellness visit. Diana Camacho, 52, of Jersey City – an employee of the Kiddie Academy in Hoboken – has been charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said in a statement.
Camacho was arrested yesterday at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the Hudson County
Prosecutor’s Office after she turned herself in.
The HCPO Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Institutional Abuse Investigations Unit about possible abuse by Camacho, and as a result, launched an investigation.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested a Jersey City woman, 52, after she allegedly abused a nine-month-old girl in her care while an employee of the Kiddie Academy of Hoboken, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
Diana Camacho is charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the second degree.
Law enforcement arrested Camacho May 4 at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office after she turned herself in.
The Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Institutional Abuse Investigations Unit contacted the Special Victims Unit about possible abuse by Camacho and launched an investigation.

A teacher at a Hoboken daycare center on repeated occasions grabbed a 9-month-old girl roughly by the arm, threatened to stomp her hand and called her an “f -ing b ,” authorities said in a criminal complaint.
Diana Camacho, 52, of Jersey City, turned herself in to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. and was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child at the Kiddie Academy in Hoboken, Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

On Tuesday, April 27th, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Bayonne Police
Department responded to a wooded area near the 63rd Street exit of northbound Route 440 after a body was reportedly sighted in a trap, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
Responding officers found a lifeless victim, later identified Jose Rivera, 41, of New York City.
His next of kin has been notified in the case, while the cause and manner of death are pending further police investigation and the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
