Phoenix officials and their partners are hoping the eye-catching amenities of a new $8.6 million mega playground in downtown Phoenix's Margaret T. Hance Park attract not just curious families and children, but other funders as well. The playground, named Fiesta Bowl Play at Hance Park, opened this week in a socially-distanced gathering of the community activists, developers, nonprofits and donors who made it happen. The 20,000-square-foot playground, with three giant animal play structures made out of recycled plastic lumber, is as unique as its location.
