‘I (expletive) up,’ gunman said after fatally shooting man he did not know after confronting him on notoriously violent Lawndale block, prosecutors say

The victim of a fatal shooting fired back at an assailant who shot him on a dangerous West Side block that has been home to gang-controlled open-air drug markets targeted twice by federal prosecutors and at least six shootings in the past three years.
Antwoine Moss, 35, charged with first-degree murder, was ordered held without bail before Judge David Navarro in the shooting death of 24-year-old Devon Jackson on April 17.
Moss “turned himself in” to investigators at the Harrison District police station Monday.
