4 universities join forces to lure Space Command HQ to Midwest Updated Dec 21, 2020; By Chris Dunker Lincoln Journal Star, Neb. (TNS) and Tribune Media Services Four universities, led by the University of Nebraska, are joining forces in making the case that the new headquarters for the U.S. Space Command should be located in the Cornhusker State. In an op-ed published Sunday in the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, the coalition said Nebraska offers an unmatched quality of life and a strong support for the military and education.
