A killer debut Galt author launches novella about a singer and a murderer

Writing her debut novella, “Death by Arrangement”, has been an education in book development for Kathleen Torian Taylor.
“It was like going to school for four-and-a-half years,” the Galt resident told the Herald. “I feel like I should have a master’s by now. But it’s exciting. I love the response I’m getting.”
Taylor will hold a book signing for “Death by Arrangement” on May 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at The Coffee Shop Bakery. The day before, May 21, she will be featured on Good Day Sacramento, at 10 a.m.
Taylor’s romance thriller follows Sarah Soon, a San Francisco accountant who aspires to become a torch singer. (Taylor’s website lists Sarah Vaughan and Diana Krall among the author’s favorites.)
