After fanatical opposition to Brexit, it's time to scrap the CBI
Britain's biggest business lobby group shattered its credibility over the EU referendum and is now losing the ear of companies too

It should reach out to the members who left over its hardline opposition to our departure from the European Union. It should bring the bosses who worked for Brexit back into the fold. And it should appoint Nigel Farage as its new spokesman, with Dominic Cummings doing the backroom work on policy.
OK, I made that last one up. And yet Tony Danker, the new-ish director-general of the Confederation of British Industry, is doing everything he can to heal the bitter divide over Europe and move the "voice of business" into the 2020s.
