Join a naturalist with the Forest Preserve District of Kane County to walk back in time and admire the woods as not only a place of beauty and shelter, but as a provider of food and medicine.
Since time immemorial, the stories of people and plants have intertwined in terms of shelter, weaponry, ceremony, food and medicine.
 
Before European colonization of North America, Native Americans were nourished and physically healed by the land.
