Amazon Alexa can now translate in Hindi and 5 other languages on Echo devices Amazon Alexa's rival Google Assistant already offers a translation feature called Interpreter Mode. Amazon Echo   The feature currently works only on Echo devices Amazon's virtual assistant Alexa has received a new Live Translation feature that would enable it to translate in a total of 6 languages, including Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The feature is currently available only on Echo devices with the region set to English (US). It can be started by saying ‘Alexa, translate French' or to any of the other 5 languages and your Echo device will provide voice-based translation between two languages in real-time. This will make it convenient for people to communicate with each other, even if they don't speak the same language.
