The names and stories of thousands of Japanese Americans forced to leave their homes and relocate to incarceration camps during World War II have been digitized in a free searchable archive on Ancestry. The genealogy company is collaborating with the Irei Project, which has been working to memorialize more than 125,000 detainees.
