Arizona Corporation Commission investigating 'forever chemicals' in drinking water near Luke Air Force Base Joshua Bowling, Arizona Republic The Arizona Corporation Commission is investigating the "forever chemicals" found in residents' and business owners' drinking water near Luke Air Force Base. Commissioner Anna Tovar on Monday announced she was opening the investigation one week after the U.S. Air Force announced it found high levels of the chemicals perfluorooctane sulfonate, or PFOS, and perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA, in the wells of private utility Valley Utilities Water Company. The levels exceeded the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's lifetime health advisory, which is not an enforceable regulation.
