A screenshot of Tuesday's Rowan County Fiscal Court meeting. Rowan County COVID-19 case reports continue to be in the high teens and low 20s, despite testing being down. Judge-Executive Harry Clark started the yearâs first Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday by announcing the county has had a total of 1,620 positive cases, including 1,469 recovered cases and nine deaths. The current seven-day running total is 102, keeping Rowan in the red area with a total of 142 active cases. âItâs still a threat. You see other hospitals around the United States, around the world actually, overwhelmed,â said Clark. âWeâre trying our very best to limit the spread. I donât know whether you get it or you donât get it, but what we got to do is space this out where we donât have to stack our patients up in the parking lot of the hospital.â
