It is with great sadness that we share the news that the world has lost a wonderful, loving, and compassionate man.  On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Jeff Mitchell passed from this earthly life after a long hard-fought battle with brain cancer.  He peacefully and comfortably crossed over while holding his wife’s hand.  
Jeff, affectionally known to his family and close friends as “Choli” or “Mitcholi”, was born in Crescent City, California on February 28, 1953, to Margaret Winnifred Syme and Cyril Stith Mitchell.  He lived in Crescent City his entire life until he left to attend Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo where he received his architectural degree.  He returned to Crescent City to establish his career and what a career he had.  His legacy is evident throughout Del Norte County and beyond in the hundreds of residential homes and building structures that started out as a blank piece of paper on his drafting table and ultimately became someone’s dream home or business.
