atjust14 and 13, stefan and jack have faced their fair share of challenges. stefan was born with cerebral palsy, a condition which affects movement and co—ordination. from a young age, he had to use a frame to assist his movement. from when i was two years old, my bones were very sore and very slow when they were walking. so it made me better. jack has spina bifida. spina bifida affects the development of my spinal cord. to try and deal with it, i think i had about four operations. doctors said that i would never walk in my life but, when i was about two years old, i think, i walked my first steps. and that was by no means the last of his achievements. he and stefan have become two of wales�* most promising young wheelchair basketball players, representing the national team. they learnt to play using wheelchairs loaned by their local club — but they've gone on to raise £6,000 chairs each for state—of—the—art wheelchairs matching their ability.
