Biden Tags Glick to Chair Federal Regulator
US president Joe Biden named Richard Glick to chair the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (Ferc) on January 21, replacing James Danly, who had been appointed chair in November 2020 by former president Donald Trump.
Glick joined Ferc in November 2017 after serving as general counsel for the Democrats on the Senate energy and natural resources committee. His term on the commission will end June 30, 2022.
Prior to joining Ferc, Glick was vice president, government affairs for Spanish Iberdrola’s renewable energy, electric and gas utility and gas storage businesses in the US, based in Washington. He also served as a senior policy advisor to former US energy secretary Bill Richardson and was legislative director and chief counsel to Senator Dale Bumpers of Arkansas.
