Thomas is excited to see more Black people recognized for their contributions, both past and present, but also would love to see more courses offered in public schools that would teach more about Black history.Darren Iozia | Journal-Courier
February was designated in 1970 as Black History Month, but Black residents of Jacksonville say Black history is more than a month, more than just famous people and the Civil Rights Movement.
