Picture: BBC NORTH-EAST television legends have been nominated for Bafta awards. Bob Mortimer's Gone Fishing series with comedian Paul Whitehouse is up for an award in the Features category while Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway is in the running for Entertainment Programme. Mortimer and Whitehouse travelled to the North-East in the Christmas edition of Gone Fishing, which saw the duo, who took up fishing after they both had heart problems, catching grayling at quiet spots on the rivers Tees and Esk before heading out onto the North Sea. To a backdrop of popular spots like the Tees Transporter Bridge, the show was praised as a humbling reminder of what life is all about.
