Braintree Police Department swears in two new officers Community Content Chief Mark Dubois recently announced the swearing-in of two new members of the Braintree Police Department. Officers Kevin St. Ives and Christopher Dominguez were sworn in by Mayor Charles C. Kokoros during a private ceremony at the Braintree police station Feb. 1. St. Ives comes to the Braintree Police Department from the Boston University Police Department where he worked as a police officer for nearly 20 years. He had recently been promoted to sergeant at BU and held many special assignments and positions, including field training officer, Rape Aggression Defense instructor and first responder and CPR instructor, and was part of the motorcycle unit and bicycle unit. He was also the recipient of numerous awards and commendations by BUPD.
