It is the Ides of March, and you-know-who died on March 15 in 44 B.C., Roman Antiquity. Today, in class, as a commemorative inter-disciplinary activity, we read through a final copy of an original play called âKnives Out: Who or What Killed Julius Caesar?â This play was written as a community, or collective, writing project by my SJU Latin 102 class, a year ago, just after Spring Break and the mid-March COVID-19 shutdown. - Advertisement - Smart people can do smart things, and this play is a tribute to the flexibility, skill, and originality of SJU Latin students, most of whom are enrolled in the Haub School of Business, an interesting match-up.
