Carolina has also recalled forward Sheldon Rempal to the team's active roster from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL). Additionally, the team has recalled forward Drew Shore and defenseman Joey Keane to the team's taxi squad from Chicago (AHL). Geekie, 22, has registered four points (3g, 1a) in four career NHL games with Carolina. He has recorded 88 points (41g, 47a) in 128 career AHL games, all with Charlotte. The 6'2", 192-pound forward posted 202 points (78g, 124a) in 216 Western Hockey League (WHL) games with Tri-City from 2014-18. The Strathclair, Man., native was drafted by the Hurricanes in the third round, 67th overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft.
