Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain today warned against posting or writing abusive and indecent comments on social media.
"Satire takes place even in the USA but those are not as indecent like the ones in our country. We have to keep in mind that the image of the country is priority. We are cautioning that we will not consider bail to those who tarnish the country's image in any manner," he said.
The chief justice issued the caution while presiding over a three-member bench of the Appellate Division of Supreme Court that was hearing an appeal.
