Expected Ohio River flooding will be more than initially forecast and push the water levels at Cincinnati higher than they have been since February 2019.
The National Weather Service said high water from earlier heavy rainfall will continue to impact flood-prone areas Monday. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain had fallen, the National Weather Service said.
A flood warning will take effect Tuesday afternoon for the Ohio River at Cincinnati. Minor flooding is forecast Downtown.
The river is expected to crest at 54.5 feet on Thursday morning, according to the latest forecast.
That's the highest the river has been since it was measured at 55.46 feet on Feb. 13, 2019 in Cincinnati.
