Cleanup, damage assessment underway after powerful storms rip through River Region The Montgomery Advertiser 2 hrs ago Marty Roney, Montgomery Advertiser Replay Video UP NEXT Crews are out in River Region counties Wednesday morning clearing roads and removing downed trees in the wake of a line of severe thunderstorms that rumbled through the area Tuesday evening. The whine of chainsaws mixed with the throaty growl of heavy equipment as the work went on. Widespread reports of trees down and trees on homes and buildings came in from Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery counties. There are still power outages in the counties as of 8 a.m. No injuries have been reported.
