COP28 Climate Change Conference: Final draft does not contain a clear end to fossil fuels. New draft of the final declaration of the COP28 climate conference in Dubai does not include the clear phase-out of coal, oil and gas demanded by many countries. The 21-page paper simply calls on states to move away from fossil fuels in their energy systems. More than a hundred countries had previously called for a "phase out". Actually, the conference should have ended already, but due to the discrepancies, it went into overtime.
