Share The Hillsboro City Council will meet in a regular session Tuesday, April 6, at 6 p.m. The council is expected to certify unopposed candidates and cancel the city election that was scheduled for Saturday, May 1. A bid is expected to be awarded to a company for lighting and signage improvements at the Hillsboro Municipal Airport. Preston McReynolds will be considered for appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Leann Richmond when she became a city council member. The council will also consider renewal of the city's gas franchise agreement with Atmos Energy for another 20 years.
