Crews respond to water rescue at Hazard Canyon Reef in Montana de Oro KSBY News and last updated 2021-01-30 15:53:51-05 Emergency crews responded to reports of a water rescue at Hazard Canyon Reef in Montana de Oro in Los Osos Saturday morning. According to a CAL FIRE SLO spokesperson, dispatchers received a report at approximately 11:14 a.m of a surfer who had possibly suffered a heart attack at the reef. Officials with CAL FIRE SLO, California State Parks and California Highway Patrol's H-70 responded to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found that the surfer was pulled from the water before emergency crews arrived at the scene, according to the CAL FIRE SLO spokesperson.
