Crusade awards several grants in area : vimarsana.com

Agencies, schools and hospitals that serve children with special needs in Kentucky and Indiana received good news last week from the WHAS Crusade for Children.
According to a recent news release from the organization, 100 percent of the $5.1 million collected during this year’s WHAS Crusade for Children telethon was awarded in 225 grants.
The Crusade grant award notifications were sent out on June 28 to inform the agencies, schools, and hospitals their grant requests were funded.
A few area organizations to receive grant funding are:
• Boy Scouts of America, Lincoln Heritage Council – $12,000
• CASA of the Heartland – $10,000
• Down Syndrome Association of Central Kentucky – $8,000
