Briefs News services The region's employers were asked last month to submit information to help with a regional wage and benefits survey. The deadline has been extended until March 19, officials announced Friday. The Local Economic Development Organization Council and the Northeast Indiana Chamber Coalition are gathering data to assist in the region's economic development efforts. The data will give the region and employers an edge when competing with other regions by understanding whether what employers are offering is competitive. The online survey's benefits portion looks at costs of health insurance and policies in areas such as training, vacation and financial incentives including retirement and bonus plans. A workforce assessment section asks about skills and education.
