had very different upbringings. they have a lot in common. drug abuse almost derailed both their lives until they were rescued by their faith. welcome michael w smith and head, real name, brian. you were 1993 and 2005 heavy metal band. korn. and a lot of my audience probably saying, corn, what we have in thanksgiving. korn with a k and a prominent heavy metal band and a typical rock scene for you, sort of drugs, drugs, more drugs, but there came a moment and you said this is not the way i want to spend the rest of my life. what was the burning point that made you decide i don't want this future? >> it was crazy because i was living the dream that so many people have, that rock star dream that males when you're younger and when i was living it, it was just like, like so much craziness going on and on
