we're trimming spending. that's what -- these 90 conservatives, they have been out front supporting the trump administration, the trump agenda. it was disappointing to see how this manifested itself even with the treasury secretary mnuchin coming to our conference. it didn't go over well. >> neil: what happened? >> basically there were questions that were asked that couldn't be answered. i asked if what reforms were considered. there was no answer. i asked what does the debt ceiling look like december 9? no answer to that. that is creating pause. some of the guys that i understand from texas needed to support this, certainly no condemnation there, but there were many more than just the 90 conservatives that had major questions. >> neil: do you trust the president on this? >> we do. worked with schumer and pelosi, we're hoping it was a one-time sending the message -- >> neil: to whom?
