could end with the escalating trade war with china. john roberts with more on that. john? >> good afternoon to you. welcome back, by the way. where's charles? >> neil: that's fine. ok, i guess we cut to you. go ahead. >> boom, there you go. we managed actually to have an hour long meeting this morning with larry cutler, the president's chief economic advisor who pointed to december 1st, this coming saturday as a potential breakthrough in the u.s.-china trade relationship. that's when the president will have dinner with the president of china at the g-20 summit. the president recently had a phone call that he described as good and he has reason for optimism that china may be willing to move on some of these big key issues like intellectual property theft. the forced technology transfer. protected tariffs as well as ownership of foreign companies in china. but if there is no movement, the president is ready and willing to put tariffs on another $257 billion worth of goods from
