>> the show has come under fire accused of sexualizing children and now a mom may have gone too far. linsey davis reports. >> reporter: mattie is 6 years old, and her career may be on hold. this performance on tlcs, toddlers and tiaras, dressed to look like dolly parton, may cost her mom custody. >> the fake boobs and butt is an added bonus. >> reporter: the outfit and potential sexualization of kids in the pageant world are being explored by a judge in a custody battle. mattie's father is fighting for sole custody, he says that his estranged wife was sexually exploiting their daughter. letting her dress provocatively. the judge placed a ban on any pageant activity for mattie. some say if the father wins it could set a precedent that could put these child beauty pageants at risk. >> for the judge to take away the mom's right to be the primary custodian would be a very aggressive move. and i think would reverberate in other cases.
