off here. and some of these cars and taxis don't get in the way, you can see a little bit of the snow on some of the shrubbery and the grassy area. we did pick up one to two inches particularly on the outskirts, but no major road problems here. but this is just the beginnings of this storm. this storm will be moving up the coast, as you mentioned, and it's going to cause all kinds of problems there. but this is the fifth time nashville has had some snow this winter. they're already over their annual snowfall. for the season, we've had over ten inches here. just like i just heard up in new york and boston and the northeast how folks are getting a little weary, they're getting weary of it down here in the deep south as well. >> i completely understand it, jeff. thank you very much. meteorologist bill karins has been tracking the storm and travel delays. it seems it turned on a dime. suddenly i'm getting e-mails from people driving in this area saying it's a mess out here. >> i said yesterday it was going to be a hard-to-predict storm. and it hasn't disappointed. this blast that we got this morning was unexpected.
