have seen this epic flooding. see all of the showers and thunderstorms here in georgia and florida panhandle this afternoon, that's the same system that we saw push through last night across texas, however we have another one on the heels. what you'll notice is that there are just a couple of these, see these little blips here on radar. these thunderstorms don't move and very deep layer tropical air mass dump a tremendous amount of rain on houston. we'll see the same flood issue. dfw could see winds that could be pretty significant along with that rain and all of this filters on down. houston kind of a filter spot from rivers and streams from central texas. the flood threat continues there in the coming days even though we're starting to see waters recede. >> kate parker meteorologist for the weather channel. thank you so much. more from texas as we discuss the houston area. this is completely different. a houston area man has been charged with planning to travel to syria to wage jihad on behalf of isis.
