we won't hear much about it. there is an argument to be made that sometimes it is more effective to deal with the things in a private room rather than splashing it in somebody's face. we'll see if there is impact, if that is the case. so far, for instance, in egypt, there are some americans who are being held. egyptian americans being held prisoner. their case was raised by human rights groups this week for the president and he said nothing about it publicly. in private, his aides said he'll probably talk about it in private. we've seen no action on the part of egypt. we'll see whether that creates results. >> i want to bring in, peter, hang time, tim and heidi. one of the things you've talked about this this conversation around syria. if the president talks about syria, do we expect him to take a more forceful tone on bashar al assad? >> i think he has to. there is a difference between dealing realistically and pragmatically with countries that have abuses of human rights. that's different than responding to a murderous regime
