reporters hans nichols at the white house, garrett haake on capitol hill. garrett let me go straight to you first. what can we expect in the next couple of hours? and it seems, obviously, it's going to be a very busy day on capitol hill, not just the ceremonies but a lot of action as well? >> reporter: yeah, that's right. ceremony first. there's a lot of pomp and circumstance on capitol hill today. there's actually a very much first day of school vibe up here today. newly elected members and senators have their families here. there's a lot of folks doing interviews trying to literally figure out their way around the building as they get ready to get down to business. i think starting at about noon is when we'll see the wheels of government start turning here. we'll have the role cal vote for speaker. every member will come up and say the name out loud of the person they're voting for. ultimately, we will get all of these members sworn in. we will get some of the receptions and ceremony aside, and then later this afternoon into the early evening is when
