Disney-Plus has added content warnings to several beloved animated classics because they include “negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures.”
Expanded content warnings were added to several films in October 2020, but the streaming service took things to the next level in January by removing several titles from the profiles of children under 7 years old.
The decision came after a diverse panel of experts reviewed Disney’s expansive catalog of films and found several with what they determined to be problematic imagery.
