Article content A French River-area woman who assaulted her boyfriend last July and was not to be driving when she left the scene of a two-vehicle collision in December has been given a suspended sentence, a probation order and a $2,000 fine. “Your consumption of alcohol has been your initiation into the criminal justice system – that date in July when you assaulted your intimate partner – and your difficulties would have been compounded five months later when you hit another vehicle driving while a prohibited driver due to fines and an earlier conviction,” Ontario Court Justice Louise Serre told Leeann Randell, who was attending Sudbury court via Zoom link.
