Dutchess doctor to serve 5 months in prison for insider trad

Former Vassar Brothers Medical Center doctor Slava "Stanley" Kaplan has been sentenced to 5 months in prison for his role in a $4 million insider trading scheme. U.S. District Court Judge Gregory Woods also sentenced him to 3 years of supervision after prison and ordered him to forfeit the $472,054, on Jan. 5.
