'We're going to find an arm': Providers trying to keep COVID-19 vaccines from going to waste

Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine are in high demand, and despite limited supplies, some Riverside County providers still have extra doses at the end of each clinic day. Whether its due to top-notch syringes squeezing out more than expected or some patients just not showing up, providers are feeling the pressure to use every coveted drop. 
Even if it occasionally means jumping ahead in the state's tiered system.
"We always have extra doses at the end of the day," said Brian Hodgkins, executive vice president of clinical operations at Desert Oasis Healthcare. "I think everybody is doing their best not to waste any vaccine."
