OSHKOSH - After the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Doreen Hillard shared photos on social media of the 40 years she's been attending and volunteering at the convention. But it wasn't the same. Hillard, 64, missed being a part of the action and interacting with the staff and volunteers, who've become like family over the years. So this year she's counting down the days until she gets to travel from her home in Texas to Oshkosh. "The tiny, one good thing that came out of missing last year, is that I think people are so appreciative now. No one wants to miss a thing and everybody wants to help and make it good. I'm really excited about it," she said.
